🏘 Torno – History, churches, and stunning views
Torno is a charming village with ancient origins, featuring cobbled streets, picturesque corners, and breathtaking vistas.
What to see in Torno:
Church of Santa Tecla: overlooking the lake, this small jewel of sacred architecture dates back to the 18th century.
Massi Avelli: pre-Roman rock tombs, among the most mysterious archaeological remains on Lake Como.
Strada Regia: this ancient Roman trail connecting Como to Bellagio runs through the village.
Recommended experience: hike to Montepiatto to see the legendary Pietra Pendula, a massive suspended boulder overlooking the lake.
