1. “Elogio del Lago” Exhibition at Villa Mainona – Tremezzina
Until August 31, Villa Mainona in Tremezzina is hosting the “Elogio del Lago” (In Praise of the Lake) exhibition—a visual journey through ancient prints by Italian and international artists, exploring the beauty of Lake Como.
Curated by Francesco Trippini, the exhibition features works depicting some of the most iconic places around the lake, from Cernobbio to Colico, including Menaggio, Varenna, and Tremezzina itself. There are also views of historic lakeside villas like Villa Olmo and Villa d’Este.
It’s a tribute to landscape art and the journey of Paolo Giovio, who documented the entire perimeter of the lake in just six days.
